As technology moves forward new techniques make it possible to enjoy a new body contour by reshaping trouble spots that just don’t respond to diet and exercise. One of the latest techniques is LipoSelectionSM only by VASER® which achieves remarkable results while reducing discomfort sometimes associated with other procedures.

How it Works
LipoSelectionSM by VASER® combines new patented technology with advanced surgical techniques to break up and remove fatty tissue. The VASER System uses ultrasound energy to break up and emulsify fat, leaving surrounding tissue - such as nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue - relatively intact.

After using anesthesia that may be general, local, or local with IV sedation, Dr. carney will create a tiny incision in the area to be treated. The targeted area is then filled with a special saline solution to make it very wet and full, making the fatty tissue easier to emulsify with the VASER System's ultrasound energy.

A thin grooved probe that is unique to the VASER System disperses ultrasound waves around the grooved tip to break down fatty tissue on contact.

Where it Works
Unwanted fat can be efficiently removed from abs, arms, back, hips, knees, love handles, neck and chin, saddlebags, thighs - any place you've developed a little "extra cushioning."

After Treatment
Medical professionals report few complications and a low need for re-treatments due to the greater control and precision of the LipoSelection procedure.

You will wear a compression garment home from the procedure and for a period ranging from 2-6 weeks post-operatively, depending upon the body area(s) treated and the amount of fat removed. This will provide you with comfort and support, and will help your skin settle to your new contours.
