Before Surgery
The first step before any procedure is a private consultation with Dr. Carney. He will carefully assess your individual needs and develop a customized surgical plan. During this consultation you may see a videotape and review patient photographs. You will gain a better understanding of the risks and limitations of your surgery and get any questions answered. After your consultation with Dr. Carney, you will meet with the patient liaison, who will give you specific instructions on how to prepare for surgery. This may include guidelines for diet, alcohol consumption, tobacco and certain medications and vitamins.
