KTP 532 Laser Treatment for Veins & Age Spots

Vascular lesions are red, blue or purple colored blood vessels of different shapes and sizes lying near the skin's surface.

The KTP/532 wavelength laser is a green light device that can be used at The Carney Center for the treatment of these small but visible facial veins. The laser's light energy is absorbed by both vascular and pigmented areas of the skin, with relatively little absorption in the surrounding / underlying tissue so there is virtually no adjacent tissue damage.

Veins of the face usually become visible on the side of the nose or in the front of the ears. They may be more diffuse as with rosacea. Brownish age spots may occur anywhere on the face. The KTP/532 can also be used to treat these sun spots.

Anesthesia is not required for the process and patients can walk out of the office immediately without post-treatment scarring, bruising or pain.
